This is the last segment on why we as Humans believe things and if any of them are actually valid reasons to believe anything. We started off with sociological reasons. We found that this was not a good reason to believe anything. Next we looked at psychological reasons. Again this was not a valid reason to believe anything. lastly we look at religious reason. Once again as we found this was not a valid reason to believe anything. Just because you find a book or know a person who claims to have the revelation of God doesn’t mean he actually does.
So what what about Philosophical reason. Well what first off what do I mean by philosophical reasons? Philosophical reasoning are the use of reasoning, consistency, coherency, and completeness( Best explanation according to the evidence.
Is this in fact a good reason to believe anything? Well that answer if of coarse. And this honestly is the only valid reason to believe anything. If you believe something that is illogical. What more can I say. It is wrong. If you believe something that is not consistent then it is wrong. As well as if you believe something that is not coherent. Also we should be fail to the evidence. If the all the evidence points one way and believe another.
Something is not worth believing if it is not rational, supported by evidence, and is not the best explanation according to the data.
I will leave you with a copy of quote from unknown Arthur’s.
Truth is not subjective matter of taste but an objective matter of fact.
And I will leave you with this
In order to find truth we must be willing to give up those subjective preferences in favor of objective truths.
