Think about a dog. He may well have free choice between a bowl of leafy spinach and a sirloin steak. He will go after the steak EVERY time - since it is in his nature. Same with man - man's nature is to gravitate towards sin continually - Genesis 6:5; 1 Cor 2:10-17 just to name a few passages

Brother I got this from R.C sproul You can actually go listen to the message still. It Called "Finding a job that fits".

Brother R.C sproul is amazing. He one of those teachers where if you take notes during his sermon you can learn alot. Alot of pastors are flower pickers but not R.C sproul.

Brother just to let you know if you see anything under the R.C Sproul Categories. I am going to try to right notes on each one of his sermons. He is an amazing teacher and there is so much knowledge to be gained.

Good stuff D'angelo. This is very interesting. I love the quote from Calvin. That needs to be the attitude of every student of Scripture!

God Bless, my brother.

D'angelo, this is really good. Where did you get this information from, just curious?

I totally agree with him here, and this is why I think that the greatest way to identify a calling to the ministry is to have a desire to minister. If someone has an all consuming desire to get into God's Word and learn it, and then the desire to explain it to others, that's a huge indicator that God has marked that person for full time ministry.

What if someone has the all consuming desire to build stuff? I've met people like that. They just want to get their hands on raw material and create it into something really cool. That's a good sign that God has marked that person to be an architect, an engineer, a carpenter, or something like that.

Thanks for posting the notes up here. I look forward to reading these more often. I love the concept of vocation, and I hope that we recover it. Deliver mail to the glory of God and dodge a punch to the glory of God and compose a song to the glory of God. What a freeing doctrine.

Keep up the posting bro! :)

P.S. I'm curious, brother, do you think that other people can identify our calling?
