The apostles praise the Lord in the book of acts right after they were beaten; then where beaten and they praised the lord for there opportunity to suffer for Christ. How amazing of a group of individuals to do such a thing. Praise the Lord of creating such wonderful workmanship for his kingdom. I pray that the Lord will provide more men with this attitude and understanding of God. I pray that the Lord makes me like these men when I am called to suffer in my life.
Currently, I am being sued for a grand total of $ 30,000. Now I can fret and worry. I can freak out and throw my hands up at the sky and ask why, Lord, why! Or I can trust in the Lord. Psalms 40:3 blessed is the man who trust in the Lord. I want to be this man, me and my family. I want to praise the Lord of the opportunity to put my trust in the Lord and if I am called to suffer for the Lord praise his name. This is an exceptable reality.
It is not my story, but his-story. This is not my life – I count my life nothing. I am only here for the glory of the Lord. I am bought at a price. I am a slave, a doulous (greek word for slave). Who is man that God is mindful of him? God never answers this question because the answer is he is not anything that the Lord should be mindful of him. We are created for the glory of the Lord. If he is glorified by the the seasons of joy in you life praise the Lord! If he is glorified by the trials and tribulations in your life praise the Lord! What did Job say? The Lord gives and takes away, blessed be the Lord. Blessed it be the Lord and give him praise all you saints.
I love the song “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus” absolutely praise Jesus. Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus . Psalm 127:2 says “The Lord gives his beloved sleep”. I shall sleep well today and tomorrow and forever more. My sleep and my rest in the Lord has nothing to do with my situations, but my relationship with the Lord. I am his servant! I am his son. If God is with me then who can be against me? Who can stand against the Lord and his anointed ? Not satan, not the world, and differently not trials and tribulations.
What does James 1:2 say, ” count it all joy when you fall into various trials.” Count it all joy! Let’s live this scripture. James also says, “be not hears of the world only but doers of the world.” It is easy to say you trust in the Lord when all is well but can you say it is well with my soul in the midst of the storm. This reminds me of when in the gospel Jesus was sleeping in a boat during a great storm. His apostles where freaking out believing they would be consumed by the storm and awoke Jesus. Jesus then rebuked them and said, “ye of little faith.” The Lord can calm the storms in your life and the Lord will take you where he wants you. This may not always be where you wanna go but this where the Lord wants you.
God bless you; fear the Lord all the days of your life and it shall be well with you soul.

With Jesus All Things Are Possible : Luke 5:2-11
Luke 5:4 “… He said to Simon, Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch, but Simon answered and said to Him Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; neverthelesss at your word I will let down this net,’ for you see, Simon in spite for his circumstances was able to put his trust in the Lord. He had toiled all night fishing and yet he caught nothing. Now Jesus tells him to cast his net over the boat; he has a decision to make to react in unbelief and refuse to do what is counterintuitive or to the trust in the Lord.
Simon was a professional fisherman and he knew that the fish that could be caught with a night normally migrated to deeper waters during the day and return to shallow waters during the night: thus the reason he was fishing all night. Simon also knew that the Lord was sovereign over all creation and he was obedient to his command. Luke 5:6 says, ” … when they [Simon] had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking…and they filled both boats so they began to sink.”
The results of following God’s plan was a blessing that was so great that there net could not contain it, even the boats where not large enough to contain the blessing of the Lord , to the point that ships where sinking. This is how wonderful God is. When he gives you a command or promise he is able to fulfill above our wildest expectations. We just have to trust him and take him for his word.
Notice Simon Peter’s reaction in verse 8-9: “[he] saw it [and] fell down to his knees, saying Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he all who where with him were astonished.” We as believers in Christ know what Peter was revealed to at that moment: the deity and lordship of Christ. Those who were around him were astonished by what the Lord had done.
We should not be astonished by the fulfillment of God’s commands and promises in our lives. We should come to depend on them and to expect them. They shall come. Now we do not know the time or the season. We do know though that it shall come exactly at the right time — dictated by the Lord himself.
Finally, Christians with being equipped with this knowledge should react as Simon, Peter, John and James did: “They forsook all and followed him.” We as Christians need to forsake everything that we our trusting in outside the Lord. We need to only put our trust in God and his promises. They are the only thing that is secure and trust worthy. Let’s walk in the light as our father does.
God bless you all; walk in the fear of the Lord and acknowledge that while man plans his ways, God directs his steps.
